More new Futurama merchandise from out of the blue!  It's about a foot long and has working lighting (it looks like the interior lights up).

Shipping in April, preorder now at:

Is this officially licensed?

From the website of Quantum Mechanix, the company that produced the toy:

Quote
QMx currently operates under licenses from such studios as Bad Robot Productions, CBS Consumer Products, CCP, DC Entertainment, Funimation, Lucasfilm Ltd., Marvel, Mutant Enemy Productions, NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sunrise, Time Science Blood Club, Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros. Entertainment.

So I'd say possibly-to-probably that it's officially licensed. In any event, it looks pretty cool. I don't own a lot of Futurama merch, but I do appreciate this particular item's ability to serve as both a funky art/conversation piece at my next cocktail party and a fun toy that I can take off its stand and fly around like a real live spaceship when all the grownups leave the room.

Probably can't swing the 60-buck asking price right now, but a gal can dream, though--a gal can dream...

My merch totals but one comic and a number of calendars. But this is so damned awesome that I will for sure be getting it if I can!

I guess it will be smaller as expected as the fin of the space ship is rather long so the body may be just 9 to 10 inches long. And the space ship from the loot crate was also nice. Here it depends which size you really would like to display. But its all nothing against the custom made space ship from Volpin Props. :D

Hello (I've not posted here in years)

I bought one from the real seller: https://qmxonline.com/products/futurama-planet-express-master-series-replica ($60,00)

I brought it back to my country (Ecuador), and I can say that is pretty neat and kinda expensive (but worth it). I've no photos (yet), I do have a video posted on twitter: https://twitter.com/javoec/status/989123032978509824

* * Bump * *

Well, on a bit of a lark I put one of these in my Amazon shopping cart and just let it sit there for a while, logging on from time to time to check out other items and hoping that they'd throw a bone my way.

Whelp, they did, and I don't have the order in front of me at the moment, but iirc, after a couple of months they dropped the price by something approaching 20%. So...

Upon close inspection of the item, clamshell, and box, it appears to be a cleaned-up return, but it's essentially new and I'm perfectly happy with it, considering the discount. If I remember when I get home, I'll take a pic of it lit up. Annoying that either it was designed without a switch, or I'm too blond to find it, though...

It was the latter, I'm afraid. The ship is held in place on the stand by two powerful magnets, which also act as electrical contacts.

Eventually, I'll probably add a switch to the base.
