In the episode 'The Lesser of Two Evils', Bender does that covering his ears and shaking his head making that noise (I really can't describe it) when he is told he is technology by Leela. We saw this done by Homer in the 300th episode.

Garbage Angels (when they move their hands up and down in the garbage to make the shape of angels) was used in some Simpsons episode with Homer and Bart... and also used in Futurama comics #10 as Snow Angels by Zoidberg

Ummm, snow angels is something that kids do in the snow IN REAL LIFE. Garbage angels was just used in The Simpsons as a different version of snow angels.

The "removing the bandages scene" in "The Cyber House" rules is almost a direct copy of the one in "Pygmoelion".

Most of the nut house scenes in Insane In The Mainframe were stolen from Stark Raving Dad which, in turn, were stolen from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

I'd say the futurama one was more of a direct rip of One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest.

There are two very similar jokes in one of the 14th season eps of The Simpsons and Crimes of the Hot, about the Ark. Of course, the Futurama one was written waaaay before The Simpsons one, but ironically, the two episodes both aired for the first time in the UK on the same night. As Futurama follows The Simpsons, it meant that it looked like Futurama was stealing, not the other way around.

Both of those scenes were references to an old Twilight Zone episode named "The Eye of the Beholder" from way back in 1960.

I remember there being an episode on the Simpsons about a law being passed all because of a single vote. I believe that Homer or Marge forgot to vote like Fry and Leela regarding Earth's presidency.

Hmm...they are simular. However I don't think Matt G or any of the writers would repeat jokes that were from the simpsons in futurama, there good at script writing, why would they need to write the same jokes twice?

frysgirl> a vote on the simpsons passing by a single vote?  I don't think so... on proposition 24 (to deport immigrants) apu says that he's glad he has the simpsons behind him even though 3 are underage and homer says 'and i'm not registered'... but 24 won with a landslide... so did burns vs bailey for governor...  so did sideshow bob vs joe quimby for mayor... i cant think of any other real votes on the simpsons...

I found the ep name on SNPP. Wild Barts Can't Be Broken - Chief Wiggum imposes a curfew on Springfield's youth. They had a vote and the elderly ended up placing a curfew on the adults.

Brockman: This is Kent Brockman, reporting from my own home, in accordance to the new curfew, which passed by a single vote.
Marge: Homer, you really should have voted.
Homer: Like one vote ever made a difference.

Not quite right, but I haven't seen it in a while.

In the Simpsons music video "Deep Deep Trouble", Bart is flung down to hell, where the devil spins the "wheel of misfortune" to discover his fate. The same joke is used in Hell is Other Robots.

"Futurama" episode 1ACV08, "A Big Piece of Garbage": Fry tells Farnsworth not to give up just because Werstrom trumped him, saying that he himself has never given up on anything. "Hey, are you listening to me? Aw, I give up."

"The Simpsons" episode DABF06, "The Bart Wants What It Wants": This joke is repeated almost verbatim when Homer advises Bart how to win Greta back from Milhouse. Bart insists that it'd be difficult. To which Homer gives up and replies "I'm gonna take a nap."

In "I Second That Emotion" at the end when Farnsworth says that the chip that let Bender feel Leela's emotions had broken and everyone acted in surprise only to find out that it really was working is almost identical to a joke in the Simpson's episode where Lisa wants to become a dancer.

Some of these mentioned are just standard comedic cliches, so it's not surprising that they appear in both shows. However, I do find "Clobber Girl" and "Clobberella" inexcusably bad. It's almost as if they're referencing each other, or ripping each other off, either or.

There's a few jokes about "I can't believe it's not butter" in both series.

When Itchy makes "I can't believe it's not scratchy". When Homer  tries to become a teacher, he tells to the principal that he can tell the difference between butter and "I can'T..."

In futurama, there's "I can't believe it's not slug" and "I can't believe it's not taning butter" (well the last one was cut out but they talk about it on the commentary track)

502 - crimes of the hot
the entire style of the projector film is like the simpsons, but they're both just great spoofs of actual projection films.
In the film they reference their most handsome scientists, but never see them
in simpsons 'Lisa the Vegetarian'
Troy Mcclure says 'just ask this scientician' (cut to shot of scientician saying "uhh"
troy - 'he'll tell you that .......etc

They're two seperate jokes (as explained on the Simpsons DVD Commentary):

Treehouse of horror joke: Homer squirts lighter fuel on a BBQ for an insane amount of time. He lights it, and a massive fireball consumes Sprinfield.

Lisa the Vegetarian joke: Homer squirs lighter fuel on a BBQ for an insane amount of time. He lights it, and the BBQ lights normally.

besides all that, dr_Dean_in_Oz
you're off topic.  this is not a futurama board for discussion of jokes reused in the simpsons, you're supposed to be coming up with jokes that were used in the simpsons and then in futurama.
like how bart and fry enjoy mooning people.

@dr_Dean_in_Oz: He-hey! I'm just kidding, you're allright.

Well, back on topic:
I think this was in Futurama first, but what the hell. Everyone knows the joke in "Day the Earth Stood Stupid" about the train crash and how the governor sent in more trains which also crashed. Well, in "Bart Wants What it Wants," Krusty says, "Okay, let's keep this train wreck moving." Connection, maybe?

EDIT: I love being a nerd!

Here is not a _very_ exact copy, but I liked both jokes anyway:

BBA:
Fry: Wow, there's a million aliens. I've never seen anything so mind-blowing. Ooh, a reception table with muffins!

In simpsons, where Homer was helping Burns to play some bad jokes, something like:
This guy impressed me greatly, and I am not so easily impressed... Look! A blue car!

As above, I''m not sure if this is how the joke goes exactly but in Dead Putting Society, Homer tells Bart a story about "The Lion and Hercules" - which Homer gets the ending horribly wrong, and there's no good point at all.
In My Three Suns, Fry tells Leela the story of "The Octopus and the Grasshopper", again with no moral. I just thought the way they were delivered was kind of similar, as of the general structure.

I love that story, here it is:
Homer: Don't you know the story of Hercules and the lion?
Bart:  Is it a Bible story?
Homer: Yeah, probably.  Anyway, once upon a time, there was a big mean lion who got a thorn in his paw.  All the village people tried to pull it
out, but nobody was strong enough!  So, they got Hercules.  And Hercules used his mighty strength, and Bingo!  Anyway, the moral is, the lion was so happy, he gave Hercules this big... thing... of riches.
Bart:  How did a lion get rich?
Homer: It was the olden days!
Bart:  Oh.

El Zilcho> just because both of those jokes contain the word 'train' does not mean they're related!

I can't remember exactly but in the 'Ei-ei-doh' Homer tells Marge the story of the Grasshoper with a different ending too, something about him killing someone.
