BSNBAOT another Bender episode and Fry and Leela spend the whole episode watching TV.  It's so OOC for Leela, but I still find this episode very funny.

I hate it when shows hit you a little TOO hard with the message. This was one of those times.

I liked this episode even with the message about tv, also I dont mean to sound rude or mean but can I be the only one who announces the episodes of the day for the rest of the 72 days because theres only 13 days left and I would like to announce them since this is my thread, if nobody minds

I only do it if you haven't. I'm like the if trickster's absent person. You usually have it up by like 6:15 according to PEEL at my house so if you don't have it up by 7:00 that's when I do it. But fine with me.

Another great Farnsworth invention, the coolometer used to measure coolness in Megafonzies.

Also my favorite Calculon line.

Calculon: "I've seen better acting from extra's in Godzilla movies."

Farnsworth's coolometer is like his funkometer from A big Piece of Garbage

Calculon's got a number of great lines in this episode - the abovementioned two about the cancer and the amnesia, plus the one about "that's the worst coma acting I've ever seen".

How is it the same tricky? My cool-o-meter rating would be 30 mega-Fonzies. Haha no it wouldn't it'd be lower than Zoidbergs.

first off, thank you mittens the kittens(km73), it makes me happy to be acknowledged, also I think this is my first successful and popular thread

Bendersfan, its somewhat the same, the funk-o-meter detects how much you smell and the cool-o-meter detects your coolness lvl :p

Today is

Jurassic Bark, oh boy don't get me started on this episode... oh well I will

very funny and amusing, yet the most sadest episode

first the funny, ALL the funny

Bender and Fry's magic trick in the beginning
also

Fry-Let's go check it out. You can see how I lived before I met you
Bender-You lived before you met me
Fry-Sure. Lots of people did
Bender-Really

at the pizza parlour
Fry-and for your information, lady, this was not just used to paddle my butt. It was also used to move pizzas and crush rats.

Fry-Pizza delivery for Mr. ... Seymour Asses
Person-There's no one by that name here ... or anywhere. I hope that in time you'll realise what an idiot you've been
Fry- I wouldn't count on that

Bender- and then he was ejected by the guards. Needless to say, I was mortified

Fry- I know. I was deliberately describing a similar situation... how did Fry know what half those words mean

Farnsworth-Why don't you try protesting? Like those native Martians; always whining that people don't treat their ancestor's bones with respect

Crowd- What do you want?
Fry- Fry's dog!
Crowd- When do you want it?
Fry- Fry's dog

Fry- I will now perform my people's native dance, (then he hustles)
Leela-It says this part of The Hustle implores the gods to grant a favour. Usually a Trans-AM

Leela- Fry, it's been three days. You can't keep boogie-ing like this. You'll come down with a fever of some sort

The whole Bender and zoidberg scene when Bender's doing a trick

Fry- I'm gonna get my puppy back! In your face, Grim Reaper!

Bender- Crappy ineffective Reaper

Panucci- What's with Seymour? It's like he don't want you to go. Or he thinks your pants is too short, or somethin'. Which is crazy 'cause, frankly, you look fabulous

Fry- Look, Bender, this has nothing to do with you.
Bender- That's impossible

Bender- No one ever asks if Bender would like to live in a tiny little house. Not that I would. A tiny little house that says "Bender" on it

Fry- [on phone] This is Fry. If you're calling about the used towels for sale, they're still available for $45 each.

Farnsworth- The tough black mineral that won't cop out when there's heat all about.

Farnsworth- Oh, sure! Smash the smart guy's machine

next the sexy
----------------------------

Leela and Amy wrestling

Leela ripping her wrestling outfit almost off,

The Sad
----------------
From when Fry said "stop the cloning" to the end credits

Seymour searching for Fry after he was frozen

Before Fry was frozen and Seymour tried stopping him

When Bender threw Seymour into the lava and then Fry cried into the lava

I think the saddest part is the very end.

Fry: "I had Seymour until he was 3; that's when I knew him, that's when I loved him (kisses fosselized dog).  I'll never forget him, but he forgot me a long, long time ago".

Then, they fade to Seymour continuing to wait for years in front of Pannucci's pizza, for Fry to come back, until he lays his head down for the final time...

I always cry at that part. In fact I'm crying now just thinking about it... no wait that's because my car maybe totalled and the leak in the roof.

I don't get you peoples.

The first time I saw this episode, I just thought that Seymour went to sleep at the end. It seemed obvious, because it appeared to have been established earlier that he had died standing up.

I thought that it was an obvious hint that there was going to be more of him. Later.

Anyway, good episode for the nudity.

I'm pretty surte that Seymour didn't die at the end of Jurassic Bark.  His 'fossil' clearly shows him standing up.  If he had died at the end of Jurassic bark then surely somebody would have buried/cremated him.  Also:

Funny story I was watching the commentary on this episode once and I'll admit I paused the DVD right when Leela is about to dive into the lava pool to see how far they actually pushed it. Upon resuming the episode a few seconds later someone (I think John DiMaggio) says "I wonder how many people pause the DVD right there.) I almost choked from laughter at my own hilarious shame.

Ahahaha! Except I think DXC said that, as John wasn't on that commentary.

I ended up listening to both commentaries (writers' commentary FTW!).  As depressing as using Seymour like they did is, I can't even imagine how they would have even handled their initial concept for the episode. O_o

There's another commentary for Jurassic Bark? Hmmm, my dvd must be missing stuff or I'm not looking.

It's a secret audio track.  I don't think there's any "Easter Egg" button you can use to get to it; you have to fiddle with the audio settings.

For example, on my laptop, in Windows Media Player, I have to right click the bottom taksbar and click on Play > Audio and Language Tracks > English (the fourth/last option on the list).  I forget how I even get to it on the DVD player hooked to my TV.

I haven't watched today's episode yet.  It's not one of my favorites, but I don't think it's one of the worst episodes, either.
