There's more to it than that; Ozzy was wearing his wife Sharon's dress, wig & high heels at the time.  Turns out his wife had hidden his clothes in their hotel room, so he couldn't go out to get drunk.  So, Ozzy dressed up as his wife & went down to the hotel bar, got loaded, wandered out into public & relieved himself on the side of what he thought was just a building.  Turns out it was in the middle of the day, the building was THE ALAMO and a Texas Ranger just happened to be walking by.  "What ya doin' there, Boy?"  Next thing he knows, he's in a holding cell (still dressed as his wife) with 15 other arrested drunks, who are laughing their asses off at him...  :laff:

Yep, seattlejohn01, I know the whole story, too.  Hilarious!!  Ozzy was a drugged up mess in his younger days( I'm a big Osbourne fan!!).  What a cautionary tale his life has been!  From his days of teaming up with the formation of Black Sabbath with his childhood tormentor/bully to getting kicked out of Black Sabbath and getting lost in a downward spiral of drugs and depression to meet Sharon who was his Manager's daughter to Sharon "buying" Ozzy's contract from her father to the mega star he is today.  (oh, yeah, and he tried to kill Sharon once during a druggy binge.)  I love Ozzy!!

edit-  Ozzy's sort of like Tony Saprano- He's so dark, but he keeps trying to be "better."---

First I laughed. Then I cried. Then I remembered it was a hoax. Then I felt better. Then the freezing and waking up in the future bit reminded me of Futurama.

I was watching the ninth season of The Simpsons on DVD recently, and the episode "Lisa The Simpson" has a subplot where Jasper (one of Grandpa Simpson's cronies from the rest home) locks himself in the Kwik-E-Mart's freezer case in an attempt to cryogeically preserve himself so he can awake in the future. Sound familiar?  :)

That would have been before SP3000 so Matt might have been alluding the, still in production, Futurama.

I was actually disappointed that Groening was MIA from that particuar episode's DVD commentary, as I'm sure he would have pointed that out (no one who is on the commentary does).

*Frylock is talking about how he just made two new friends on Myspace*

Meatwad: I have two friends in this room. An' Master Shake is friends with the TV.

Shake: Yes. That is true.

Meatwad: Why don't you ask your TV if he'd mind showin' me some Futurama. I like me some Futurama.

Shake: And now we're too cheap to receive it. So why don'y you go the hell over to Carl Central, and watch it to your heart's content.

Meatwad: Carl gets Futurama?

Shake: He didn't even want it until we started watchin' it.

Yeah, I grew up in "the Great Pacific Northwest."  You know, when you live there that is the only way to refer to the area!!  At least on the radio and tv!!  Isn't it funny that they got a tv channel "King" and the next channel is "Kong!!"

edit-  That is the kind of simple humor that "the Great Pacific Northwest" has going for itself.  They just hang a joke out there like that and leave it hanging forever!!  It's funny and ok, it's channel "King" and channel"Kong"   so funny!!

Hi- maybe someone has already mentioned this.  I am sorry if I am repeating.

Easter has come and gone, and I saw someone yesterday wearing a funny T shirt that said "Happy Zombie Jesus Day." on it.

I found an example here:

Pretty funny, FordMustang!!  I love Jesus(weather he is from two thousand years ago or from mexico, sixty miles from here!!).  I wish there was more Jesusy jokes, but we Christians are almost as bad as the militant Muslims when it comes to jokey religious/ pseudo-religious/ irreveverent religious jokes!!

edit- Hey, not that kind of love!!  Don't think it!!

That's Different, Xanfor!!  That kind of "stoned" is for entertainment purposes and escapism only!!    ;)

edit- and voluntary stupidness and voluntary retardation- that kind of stoned( oh, yeah, and for some people it's also: stoned- voluntary psychosis/ voluntary insanity).

Maybe, if Jim Morrison didn't get so stoned all his adult life, maybe he'd still be making freeky "New Wave" music like all the old fart musicians of today like The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, Sting, and Rod StewaRT!!

edit- yeah, I know I spelled freaky wrong, but it looks cool, so I'm keeping the word in my "weird-tionary" Book of Words; for future use!!

Here is another one, maybe.  Again, I am sorry if someone already mentioned it.  If you go to Wikipedia (English version) and type in "Akbar and Jeff" there is an interesting Matt Groening "Life in Hell" cartoon that is shown.  It kind of predates Futurama but really does give a nice view to how Mr. Groening might have been many years ago thinking of developing a show like Futurama.

Now, I remind me of Futurama!  I have this really sissy  cough that kind of goes up in tone at the end.  Sorta like, "A who, ah HOOM!"  It hurts to cough, for it can bring on a coughing jag and, ultimately , a case of pukism, but through the uncomfortableness of the experience, I have this inner dialog chuckling .. and saying..."Oh, God, Now I have a man's head in my throat, er, man's head in a jar in my throat!  Now Richard Nixon's head in a jar resides in my sickness!"  It makes me feel "better" thinking Futurama has taken root in my nastiness.  Who can cry like a baby when one has that going for one's self?!  I say, "hazah," for dedicating my time in phlegm to ole' Dick Nixon's head in a jar!     ;)

Well, there were a couple, off hand, that come to mind.  Bobby.  A dog from Greyfriars, England.  He slept on his master's grave for something like 14 years.  He'd go to lunch at a certain time everyday and knock off the "grave vigil" for dinner.  The local policeman would hold traffic to let Booby cross the road.  When Bobby died, the town got a special dispensation to bury Bobby inside the grave yard next to his master.

An Akita in Japan would walk to the train station everyday to see off his master to work.  Then, the faithful friend would travel back to the station at the end of the day and meet his owner getting off the train.  One day, the human past away at work and never came home on the train.  The Akita waited... and waited... and waited.  I believe if I remember correctly, the Akita lived at that train station for maybe five years.  I think he got hit by a train in the end.

Both dogs were beloved by the local population.  Both dogs have bronze statues commemorating their endearing qualities which the people found so loveable.  Nothing like the loyalty of a beloved pet.   ;)

In real life, the beloved animals got statues; but on Futurama the only thing Seymore got- is that he BECAME a statue!

I don't know who did Jackie's voice, but I wonder if they've seen Futurama and if they were possibly inspired by Zap Brannigan's voice.  ^^

Actually, it would've been hilarious if Jackie had said some Zap-like lines in the movie.  Hehe, that would've been great if he was seen hitting on that one girl whom he reported all his information to (the girl who didn't have that big a role in the movie, I forgot her name).  XD

Ah, here we go:
 http://youtube.com/watch?v=ehOu3b9ZITQ

The character, Jackie (Jack Walker) starts talking at 6:13.

These lines sound a bit Zapp-like to me:  "Couldn't you think of something nicer to say?"

"I don't know the meaning of the word failure!"

^ ROFL.  XD

Of course, it's not the script that reminds me of Zapp Brannigan though.  It's actually the voice of Jackie in the 9th Pokemon movie.  His voice has hints of similarity to Zapp's voice.  ^^

Now if only he hit on that girl who he talked to over the phone!  Then he really WOULD sound like Zapp!  XD
